What comes to mind when you think of houseplants? Does the initial joy at the thought of filling your home with a vibrant, ever-changing indoor garden of Eden get replaced by anxiety at actually having to keep these things alive?

Houseplants are living things, but they’re not highly complex. There is a lot of variety, but they’re essentially quite similar.

There is no reason an ordinary, sans-green-fingers person who has never looked after a plant before (or has, but… erm, didn’t) can’t become an expert houseplant parent with a bit of guidance.

I did it. James, the creator of House Planty. I self-taught through piecing together the fractured information online, trying things out and applying a bit of scientific knowledge.
